AcquirEdge was founded out of a recognized need for a bridge into the software development world. Our founder, a University of California, Irvine Computer Science alumnus with several years of professional development experience, saw first-hand the interest and potential in individuals from diverse backgrounds seeking to transition into the software industry. However, hurdles like lack of prior computer science education, steep boot camp fees, and the commitment required for such boot camps often prevented individuals from making the leap. To address this gap, AcquirEdge was conceived as a stepping stone, offering an accessible, efficient, and affordable route into the software development sector.

Teaching Methodology
Our course operates on a flipped classroom model, encouraging self-learning while providing guidance and support for practical application. The 6-week course is structured to present topics in an efficient order, guaranteeing proficiency in key areas like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Git, and Bash command line. The course is held completely online, with classroom sessions via Zoom
Success
Although relatively new, AcquirEdge already boasts a 100% success rate for students who have proceeded to software boot camps. Our past students' feedback reflects their appreciation for the structured learning, personal attention, and confidence gained through our course. Our primary goal is to give you the tools to thrive, not just survive, in your future software boot camp.
Why AcquirEdge
Breaking into the tech industry requires a number of factors: industry-relevant knowledge, connections, specific hard and soft skills, an understanding of how to navigate the job search, and the technical interviewing process. Many college CS programs don't have the depth of resources or support needed to practically set students up for career success, like keeping up with the latest industry trends, building employer partnerships, and providing access to critical internships where students can get a foothold in the industry.
Even the most well-funded, prestigious programs can have gaps–from microaggressions in the classroom to lack of personal support–that prevent an equitable and comprehensive education. These barriers are particularly detrimental to Black, Latino/Indigenous, first-generation, and low-income students.
